AI-Powered Alexa and Siri Hit Snags with Bugs and Delays
Amazon and Apple are facing challenges in integrating generative AI into their digital assistants, Alexa and Siri, according to reports released on Friday.
Amazon initially planned to unveil its AI-enhanced Alexa at a New York event on February 26 but has now postponed the launch to March or later, per The Washington Post.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg reports that Apple’s AI-driven Siri upgrade is encountering engineering issues and software bugs, delaying some new features originally slated for April until at least May.
Both companies aimed to fast-track these AI improvements to compete with next-gen voice assistants like OpenAI’s Advanced Voice Mode and Google’s Gemini Live. However, their efforts are now facing unexpected setbacks.
